Reserves - Planning for the Future

This webinar covers the topic "Reserves - Planning for the Future" and features three industry experts: Kevin Giles, Director of Operations with Giles-Flythe Engineers, Inc., Mike Stonestreet, Founder/Owner of CAMS and Gary Woodlief, President of CommunityPlus North State Bank.

The presentation begins with Mr. Giles providing a detailed discussion of reserve studies, what they are, how they're conducted, and why they are so crucial to the financial success of any homeowner's association. He also explains the different types of reserve studies, the frequency at which they're needed, and where those performing reserve studies get their cost estimates from.

Next, Mr. Stonestreet explains reserve budgets, different types of financial reports and some accounting best practices homeowner's associations should keep in mind when handling reserve accounts. He also goes over sample reports that show what financial documents containing reserve account information should look like.

The webinar concludes with some great information from Mr. Woodlief on association investment and loan options. In this section, he discusses the types of investment products and loans that are available for homeowners associations and goes into the details involved in qualifying for and obtaining these loans.
